A to Z

Yesterday morning when I woke up it was pouring with rain and freezing, I was so grumpy. The dramatic change in weather since the typhoon and being a bit sick has made me utterly miserable, and then the rain this morning well that made it worse because the forecast was for SUN SUN SUN.

Well I'm glad to say the day wasn't all bad because I read this post on Living the Good Life at morning tea and had a great chuckle- I love her sense of humour! Then I received a lovely comment from a fellow blogger, just what I needed and my day got better!

So I'm going to try the A to Z of ME!!!

A=Age: 38.5 but who's counting?

B=Bed size: King and it's still not big enough !

C=Chore that you hate: Cleaning the loo, if you have little boys you'll understand. I clean it 3 times a week :(

D=Dogs: None, though I would like a big one!

E=Essential start to you day: Tea, strong with a little milk

F= Favourite colour: Blue, burgundy or green. I hate when adults wear there favourite colour ALL THE TIME how childish

G=Gold or silver: White Gold. My skin turns silver black in a mere hour or so and black silver is just tacky

H= Height: 171cm exactly the same as my husband but funnily enough I look taller than him when we're together. I attribute this to my legs being longer, he has a long head

I= Instruments you play: The fog horn according to the kids, I can yell in amazing pitches and to great distances

J=Job title: Mum, wife and doer of all that noone else will do!

K=Kids: 3, a daughter and two sons, 7, 5 and almost 3 (BEDLAM)

L=Live: Shizuoka, Japan originally from Sunny Sydney Australia

M=Mother's name: Sandra Henderson, I love that my Nan gave her her family name. I wonder if this was  a good old Scottish tradition.

N=Nickname: Achan, probably because my MIL can't say my real name :(
Growing up it was Deli "Cut price de de deli...straight to the store where your money buys more..." The things you remember from 7yo!!

O=Overnight hospital stays: 4 Suspected appendicitis when I was 8 ? 9? or maybe 10!! 10 days in hospital eating lots of jelly!
the birth of three kids, one week for the first then 5 days for the second two...I could have stayed there forever...good food, no cleaning, no washing and QUIET...must do it again : )

P=Pet peeves: Lazy people.
Those who choose to take the cheap way at doing something only to find it need redoing later; save time, money andresources and do it properly the first time.
Those who think store bought is better than homemade

Q=Quotes from a film: Sorry I couldn't remember a line from a film to save myself...just not me

R=Right or left handed: Right

S= Siblings: two younger sisters

T=Time you wake up: Depends on what time I have to be up, usually I am the last at 6.15am

U=Underwear: Cotton and whatever looks like it will fit! This is Japan afterall

V=Vegetable I hate: Lots of other food but not veggies

W=What makes you run late: family who expect me to do everything before we walk out the door

X=Xrays you've had: Ah well I did play hockey for umpteen years which left me in A&E many a time-fingers, toes, ankle, forearm but never anything broken and then lots of ultrasounds....like everytime you see the doc during your pregnancy here :( YUCK

Y=Yummy food that you make: According to Japanese friends-chiffon cake, according to daughter everything (yeh right) according to son-Aussie cake

Z=Zoo animals: Giraffes and elephants

  2. A long head! That made me laugh ;) I love these little tidbits about people, stuff you wouldn't find out otherwise. Hope you don't mind me pinching this to kill some time!

  3. U is supposedly a cm taller than me but he looks shorter because he never stands straight! Not nearly as interesting as having a long head!

  4. I actually commented here yesterday (or was it the day before?) but it mustn't have gone through. Thought it was strange there was no word validation. Oops, glad I came back to check!

    I loved reading this and want to give it a go too :)
