Nine years ago I took the plunge and got married.
It really was a plunge,
He wasn't my best friend,
I'd had to give up the life that I'd known,
I'd had to leave all the familiarity of my life
and start over on the other side of the world.
I wanted security,
I wanted to be loved,
I so I jumped.
there have been trying times,
there have been times when I thought I made the biggest mistake of my life,
but he respects me and loves me,
though can't figure out how I tick sometimes, often actually,
we are a good team, partnership
and it works.
I know I married the right person now.
I know I married the right person now.
A real blessing from God.
When I was planning my wedding nine and a half years ago
I really thought about us and tried to make it us.
I didn't want what everyone else was having
(according to my sister I never do!!)
Simple, elegant, quiet and unassuming
I think it was.
The best compliment of the day came from a dear friend
who I had been bridesmaid for just weeks before,
"If I could do my wedding all over again I would do it like you...
true to who I am"
true to who I am"
We were married in Gladesville
and celebrated at Banjo Patterson's Cottage Restaurant
I love that place!
Hubby and I go for dinner there whenever we are home together : )

Then we had drinks in the sky room of some flashy hotel over looking Sydney harbour!
The only thing I'd change about the day
would be to make 24hrs into 48!
Happy Anniversary! What a gorgeous photo. My one regret about our wedding day is that we got no outside photos. I didn't mind the rain and thunderstorm at all (we had lots of nice candlelight for the ceremony), except for the ruined outdoor photo shoot!
